Meet Johnna

Hi — I'm Johnna.

I lost 160 pounds over three years. Then I spent the next three helping other women find their own way to do it.
This is the whole story, in order. The part before, the part that changed, and the part where it became a job.
Where I started

I wasn't lacking willpower. I was surviving.

I spent years surviving instead of living. I worked three jobs. I was exhausted. I was overweight. I wasn't taking care of myself. My health was getting worse. And somewhere along the way, I convinced myself this was just who I was.
I stepped out of pictures before anyone could ask. I took the elevator one floor because I knew what the stairs would do to me. I bought clothes for what they hid, not for what I liked about them. None of that felt dramatic at the time. It just felt like my life.

2020.

The turning point

Nobody was coming to save me. If I wanted a different life, I had to build it. One walk. One workout. One meal. One decision at a time.

There wasn't a rock bottom. No doctor's appointment, no photograph, no moment where everything changed. That's the part people expect and it never happened to me. It was a decision, and then the same decision again the next day, and that turned out to be the whole thing.
How I actually did it

There's no secret. There's a method, and it's unglamorous.

I didn't lose 160 pounds because I found the perfect workout.
From my journey to yours

Am I qualified, or did I just lose weight and start giving advice?

Losing the weight taught me what it feels like. Certifying and then spending years training real people, week after week, taught me how to actually coach it. You need both. A lot of people online only have the first one.
What I believe

Weight loss should add to your life — not take it away.

You will never hear me say "no excuses." You will never hear me tell you that nothing tastes as good as skinny feels. I'm not going to talk about your beach body, and I'm not going to make you feel guilty about what you ate. Those things don't make people healthier. They just make people ashamed — and shame has never kept anyone consistent.
What replaces it is unremarkable and it works: habits you can sustain, consistency that survives a bad week, confidence that shows up in the rest of your life, and food you don't have to apologise for.
Why UMRNU exists

I built UMRNU so this wouldn't just be my story.

Renew You — because you can start again, as many times as it takes. Redefine Growth — because progress was never only about the number on the scale.
The vest is the same idea, made physical. I didn't want to create a vest for people who were already fit. I wanted to create one for people who were still becoming.
